Welcome to Sense of Calm
At Sense of Calm we deliver fun and engaging baby and toddler classes in Mickleover, Derby, including relaxing Baby Massage classes, Tummy Time Fun & Sensory Play with our Little Tummy Tigers classes, and Messy Play fun, as well as our popular one-of-a-kind Calming Pop-Up Sensory sessions.
Jen is a trained Baby Massage Instructor, Tummy Time Expert (inc. additional needs) and Developmental Play Practitioner.
Extra care is taken to ensure our are classes perfect not only for child development, but also for nurturing the special bond you have with your little one.
We place importance on creating safe, supportive and inclusive environments for you to connect with other parents & caregivers and find a little bit of calm in your day!

Halcyon Moments: Baby Massage - A 5-week course, available for babies aged 8 weeks to pre-crawling, this class uses a combination of Indian massage and Swedish message techniques. As well as being a wonderful bonding experience for you and your little one, baby massage is known to have real benefits for baby's development and wellbeing.
Little Tummy Tigers: Tummy Time & Sensory Play -
We bring the FUN to Tummy Time!
Little Tummy Tigers is a 6-week block of fun sessions, available for babies 2-6 months. Discover a variety of ways to help your baby enjoy Tummy Time and understand more on the importance of Tummy Time as a position for supervised play, whilst enjoying different themed play each week with songs and sensory activities to have fun with your little one knowing you're also helping promote both their physical and brain development.
Movement & Mess! Developmental and Messy Play - Suitable for ages 9 months up to 36 months. These sessions are grounded in evidence based understanding of play and development in this age group. The Free Play approach combines fun activities than encourage gross & fine motor skill development in young children, combining movement, and messy play.
Pop-Up Sensory - Provides a relaxing, social and developmental experience for babies and toddlers up to 2 years old. With so many daily pressures on caregivers, we're pleased to be able to provide a little oasis of calm in your day to spend with your child, with stories, songs, fun craft activities, the opportunity to meet other parents and time to nurture your bond with your child.
