The Benefits

As well as being comforting and calming, research has shown that sensory play and using sensory toys at an early age can build a baby's cognitive skills & brain development.

Not only that, it can improve alertness and  awareness.

It's a wonderful opportunity in a busy week for you and your baby or child to bond.

We'll also provide activities that may enhance your life journey together.

What to expect at your Pop-Up Session:

Each 75-minute Session Includes:

★ The Sensory Area provides a precious and relaxing time to bond with your child. Captivate their senses through gentle play and watch their eyes light up as their senses are stimulated by lights and auditory toys. Attendees are free to move in and out of the space over the 75 minutes. We ask that attendees are respectful of others using the space.

At the start, we sit down with everyone to read a story and sing a couple of songs including our very own 'Gratitude Song' (with actions) for babies and toddlers, which has been well received. Numbers are kept small to maintain a peaceful environment, usually with between 4 and 8 adults and their children attending.

The community centre is a breast-feeding and weaning friendly environment  where you have time sit and chat with other parents/caregivers.

There's the opportunity to grab a drink or a bite to eat during the session, or simply have a relax with little one whilst they play and interact with others on the separate play mat when you are not in the sensory space.

We run 75 minute sessions so that people arrive at the same time, in order to spend a short time as a group at the start singing songs and having story time, whilst also providing people with the opportunity to meet other parents and caregivers.
